A simple pie on kefir: the apple filling turns into amber honey. Aromatic and saturated dessert

The dessert turns out to be very soft, saturated and fragrant. The apple filling turns into amber honey, which goes perfectly with the chocolate fudge on top.

You will need the following ingredients for cooking:

  • kefir and butter 200 g each;
  • flour, 500 g;
  • egg yolks, 3 pcs.;
  • vanillin;
  • a pinch of salt;
  • soda, 0.5 tsp

To prepare the filling, you need  :

  • apples, 900 g;
  • raisins and nuts 100 g each;
  • sugar 100 g;
  • cinnamon, 1 teaspoon;
  • zest of 1 lemon.

To prepare the glaze, you need :

  • cocoa and sugar 4 tablespoons each;
  • milk, 100 ml;
  • butter, 30 g

The cooking process

Cut softened butter into cubes and mix with sifted flour, turn into crumbs.

Pour room temperature kefir with soda, vanilla to taste and sugar, egg yolks and mix.

Quickly gather the dough into a lump.

Tip:  the yolks can be replaced with 2 eggs, but do not forget that the white makes the dough tough.

Cover the dough with a bag and send it to the refrigerator for 40 minutes.

Peel the apples and grate them.

Add cinnamon and lemon juice, zest, raisins and nuts to taste.

Pour sugar before putting the filling on the dough.

We divide the dough into 3 parts, roll out each part according to the size of its form on parchment.

We put it together with the paper on a baking sheet, make small sides and put part of the filling.

Cover with the second layer of dough and put the remaining filling.

Cover the cake with the third layer of dough.

Bake at 180 degrees for about 30 minutes until golden brown.

For the glaze, mix all products except butter and cook over low heat until thick. Remove from the stove and add oil, mix until smooth and cool.

We coat the cake with glaze and leave it to harden.

It is not necessary to soak the cake for a long time – it is already moist, saturated with amber-apple filling.

To make it even more original, take sweet and sour varieties of apples, that way you will have an excellent balance of taste.
