Yogurt biscuits are one of the most typical biscuits to prepare at home. Light, because they are completely free of butter , and with a delicate flavour, they are perfect for dipping into a cup of steaming cappuccino for breakfast or to enjoy at tea time. To make them, simply put all the ingredients in a bowl, work them briefly with a spatula and make many donuts with the dough obtained and put them in a hot oven for about twenty minutes. The final result will be delicious and fragrant sweets to be sprinkled (once warm) with icing sugar , and to be served as a delicious end to a meal or for a healthy and genuine snack.
If the dough is too soft and difficult to work with, you can help yourself by sprinkling a little flour on the work surface. If you like, you can enrich it with chocolate chips , raisins, previously soaked in rum or orange juice, dehydrated fruit or chopped hazelnuts . You can give the biscuits the shape you prefer or roll out the mixture to 5 mm thick and, if you have them, cut it out with the appropriate moulds.
In the recipe proposed here, for an even lighter version, we opted for low-fat yoghurt but, to your liking, you can choose one of any type and flavour: Greek, whole and with pieces of fruit, lactose-free, soy for vegan guests… The important thing is that it is very fresh and first choice. The more willing can also make it at home , with or without a yogurt maker, and use it to make muffins and plum cakes , or soft cakes and donuts .
