Danish cookies: how to make them at home in a few simple steps!

INGREDIENTS

300g (2 cups) all-purpose flour;
230g (1 cup) butter;
100g (½ cup) sugar;
1 egg;
¼ tsp salt;
10g (1 ½ tbsp) raisins;
Sugar for coating.

METHOD

  1. Whisk flour with sugar and salt. Add butter and mix together until crumbs form.
  2. Add 1 egg and knead until the ball of dough forms.
  3. Cut the dough into quarters. Mix ¼ with raisins.
  4. Roll 3 quarters into the parchment as shown in the video.
  5. Pipe the last ¼ onto a baking sheet using a piping bag.
  6. Let the dough chill in the fridge for 30 minutes.
  7. Cut the chilled dough into disks. Cover some pieces in sugar. Place on a baking pan and bake at 180°C/350°F for 12-15 minutes.
