Apple buns – puff pastry cakes with tender hearts!

A delicious and easy-to-prepare snack that everyone will love! 

INGREDIENTS
2 apples60g (1/4 cup) sugarCinnamon1 lemon (juice)60g apricot jam1 puff pastry roll

PREPARATION

  1. First we peel the apple, remove the core and cut it into slices, and then into cubes of approximately 1 cm on each side.
  2. In a saucepan add the sugar, cinnamon and lemon juice. Cook for a few minutes over low heat, melt the sugar well, stirring occasionally.
  3. When it has melted, add the diced apple, add the apricot jam and mix everything, letting the apple soften a little over low heat for a few minutes.
  4. Cut 6 squares of puff pastry, brush the edges with a little apple cooking liquid and place a couple of teaspoons of apple mixture on top.
  5. Close the buns in half by gently pressing the edges with your fingers. Using a fork, press the side edges of the buns to seal well.
  6. Bake in the oven at 220°C/428°F for 12 minutes.
