New Garlic Growing Method: A Simple Trick for a Bigger Harvest 🧄

Experienced gardeners use a simple but very effective trick to harvest robust garlic with large, aromatic bulbs. With the right preparation and planting technique, garlic grows faster, forms strong roots and yields a significantly richer harvest – even in a small space.

What you need:

Healthy garlic cloves
Loose, nutrient-rich soil
Wood ash or compost (optional)
A sunny location

How to do it:

Select large, healthy garlic cloves and carefully separate them.

Before planting, you can soak the cloves in lukewarm water for 1-2 hours to activate growth.

Plant the cloves with the pointed end up, about 5-7 cm deep in the soil.

Keep a distance of 10-15 cm between plants.

Add a little wood ash or compost to the soil to improve the nutrient supply.

Water lightly and keep the soil loose and weed-free.

Tip:

Remove the flower stalks (if they appear). This will allow the plant to focus its energy on forming bulbs, which will result in larger garlic.
