Ingredients:
500 g plain flour
250 ml milk
50 g butter or oil
20 g yeast
1 teaspoon sugar
1 teaspoon salt
2–3 cloves of garlic
1 egg for brushing
Procedure:
Dissolve the yeast in warm milk with sugar and let it activate for 5–10 minutes.
Mix the flour with salt, add the melted butter and milk with yeast. Knead a smooth dough.
Let the dough rise for 60 minutes in a warm place until it doubles in volume.
Press the garlic and mix it into the dough, or mix it into a little oil and brush the top of the pagáčs.
Roll out the dough, cut out circles or triangles and place on a greased baking sheet.
Brush with beaten egg and bake in a preheated oven at 180°C for 20–25 minutes until golden brown.
Tip:
For extra fragrant pagáčs, add a little grated cheese to the dough – the taste will be even better!
