This recipe is a real “lifeline” for the Christmas menu! Three-Milk Flan (or Flan de Tres Leches) is brilliant because while it looks like a luxurious dessert, it is actually indestructible, and because it is flourless, it is exactly the light finish we crave after a hearty dinner.
Since it can be put together in 2 minutes, there is time for family and almond slices!
Why does this 2-minute technique work so well?
The secret lies in the blender. You don’t have to bother with a whisk, you just pour everything in and the machine does the work.
The ingredients for the “3-milk” magic:
Condensed milk: This gives the sweetness and creamy base.
Evaporated milk (unsweetened condensed milk): This is responsible for the silky texture.
Cream (or cream cheese): This makes it really rich and nourishing.
- Eggs: what holds everything together (without flour).
Preparation process (The 2-minute trick):
The caramel (30 seconds): Melt a little sugar in the mold, or use ready-made caramel sauce on the bottom.
The mix: Throw the three types of milk, 4-5 eggs and a little vanilla into the blender. Turbo for 1 minute.
The baking: Pour over the caramel and put it in the oven (or even in the microwave, if you’re looking for the fastest version) in a water bath.
Christmas twist 🎄
Since it’s Christmas today, you can add a little gingerbread spice mix or a splash of orange liqueur to make it even more festive.
This dessert is best served cold, so while the family eats the pizza rolls, the flan can rest comfortably in the fridge.
Have you managed to make it this year, or will this be the surprise of the evening? If you think so, I’d be happy to help you calculate the exact proportions for how many people to prepare
