Honey Garlic Ribs

Imagine the smell of meat slowly roasting in the oven, while the sweet honey and spicy garlic create a perfect caramelized crust on top. These literally melt-in-your-mouth ribs are a classic that you can enjoy not only in a restaurant, but also at home.

This recipe is simple, but the result is perfect: tender meat, juicy flavor, and that irresistible sweet and salty combination that suits any occasion. Whether it’s a family celebration, a gathering of friends, or just a weekend treat, these ribs will not disappoint.

Ingredients:
1.5–2 kg pork ribs
4 tablespoons honey
5 cloves garlic (crushed)
3 tablespoons soy sauce
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 teaspoon paprika
Salt and freshly ground black pepper
A pinch of pepper (optional)
Preparation:

Preparing the meat
Wash the ribs, pat them dry, and remove the membrane from the back to make them more tender. Season with salt and pepper.
Marinade
Mix the honey, garlic, soy sauce, olive oil, paprika, and pepper to taste in a bowl. This will create an aromatic marinade.
Marinate
Brush the ribs with the marinade, place them in a bowl or plastic bag and leave to marinate for at least 2 hours (ideally overnight in the refrigerator).
Roast – first stage
Preheat the oven to 160°C. Place the ribs in a baking dish, cover with foil and roast slowly for about 90 minutes until the meat is tender.
Glaze
Remove the foil, brush with the remaining marinade and increase the temperature to 200°C (390°F). Roast for a further 20-30 minutes to create a caramelised crust.

Serve
Cut into pieces, drizzle with the pan juices and serve with bread, potatoes or salad.
