Natural Anti-Inflammatory Foot Soak with Rice Water

Natural Anti-Inflammatory Foot Soak with Rice Water 👣🍚🌿
This recipe combines the anti-inflammatory and soothing power of rice water with other natural ingredients for effective relief.

Ingredients:

2 cups (400g) of uncooked rice (any type of white or brown rice)
4-6 cups (1-1.5 liters) of water (for cooking the rice)
Enough hot water for the foot soak basin (in addition to the rice water)
½ cup Epsom salt (magnesium sulfate) – great for relaxing muscles and reducing swelling.
¼ cup coarse salt (sea salt or Himalayan salt) – helps detoxify and exfoliate.
5-10 drops of essential oil (optional, for extra effect):
Lavender: Calming, relaxing, and anti-inflammatory.
Eucalyptus or Peppermint: Refreshing, invigorating, and helps relieve muscle pain.
Tea Tree: Antifungal and antibacterial, great for foot health.
Handful of fresh mint or rosemary leaves (optional, crush lightly to release aroma and oils)
Lemon or orange slice (optional, for aroma and freshness)
Utensils:

Medium pot for cooking rice
Comfortable basin or bucket for foot bath
Towel
Instructions:

Step 1: Preparing the Concentrated Rice Water
Wash the rice: Rinse the rice in cold water a few times to remove excess starch.
Cook the rice: In a pot, add 2 cups of rice and 4-6 cups of water. Bring to a boil.
Boil for 15-20 minutes: Let the rice simmer over medium-high heat for about 15 to 20 minutes, or until the water is very white and milky, and the rice is cooked. The goal is to obtain a concentrated, thick rice water.
Strain the rice water: Carefully strain the cooked rice (you can use it for another meal!) and reserve only the milky rice water that drains out. This is the anti-inflammatory base for your foot bath.
Step 2: Preparing the Foot Bath

In a clean, comfortable bowl, pour the concentrated rice water you just strained.
Add the Epsom salt and coarse salt. Mix well to dissolve the salts.
Pour enough hot water into the bowl to a height that covers your ankles, adjusting the temperature so it is comfortable and pleasant for your feet. Add the essential oils (if using), fresh mint/rosemary leaves (lightly crushed), and lemon/orange slices (if using). Stir again.
Step 3: Enjoying the Foot Soak
Sit in a comfortable position and soak your feet in the mixture.
Relax and let your feet soak for 20 to 30 minutes. You can use this time to read a book, listen to music, or simply rest.

During the foot bath, you can gently massage your feet to help relieve tension and stimulate circulation.
When finished, remove your feet from the basin and rinse them with clean water to remove any salt or oil residue.
Dry your feet thoroughly with a clean towel, paying attention to between your toes.
