Time needed for Cheese Meatloaf in Puff Pastry recipe
Working time about 15 minutes
total time about 15 minutes
Ingredients:
smoked ham (200 g)
eggs (2 – 3)
peppers, green (1)
Tilsiter or mountain cheese (200 g), diced
pepper and nutmeg
onion (1), small diced
rolls, stale (1), diced, 800 g minced meat
peppers, red (1)
puff pastry (1 pack)
Egg for brushing
Preparation:
1. First mix the first six ingredients thoroughly and do not let the dough swell. The eggs provide enough liquid for the dough to form a cohesive mass. Next add the diced peppers and grated cheese.
2. Once you have an oval shaped loaf, wrap it in the rolled out puff pastry. Set aside small pieces of dough to use as garnish if needed. Brush the pastry with egg, spread the decorations on top and bake at 210°C for about 1 hour.
