Deer ked Approx. 5\u20136 mm long, flat, leathery, dark brown. Flies in, often sheds its wings upon landing, and crawls extremely fast and vigorously across the scalp.
Tick Arachnid (8 legs), oval, flat (when unfed), brown\/black. Anchors itself into the scalp and remains stationary.
Bedbug Approx. 4\u20137 mm, reddish-brown, flat. Ends up in the hair by accident; doesn’t bite there but seeks out exposed skin at night.
