It&#8217;s sharp enough to cut through packing tape, but blunt enough not to immediately cut the fabric or leather inside.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Pro tip: If you lightly grind the tip of the key with a metal file, you have a discreet cutting tool that can even cut through thick cable ties.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol start=\"2\" class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The \u201cemergency weight\u201d for fishing line or curtains<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Old keys are usually made of brass or steel \u2013 metals with high density.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Inside the home: If your lightweight curtains constantly flap in the wind, sew an old key into the bottom hem.
