Modern science has confirmed that dietary cholesterol has only a minimal effect on blood cholesterol levels in most healthy people.

“They put a strain on the gallbladder”: For people with gallstones, the fat in the egg yolk can be difficult to digest in the morning. For healthy people, however, eggs are an excellent source of fat.

“Gas”: Hard-boiled eggs take a little longer to digest than soft-boiled ones. This can lead to bloating in people with sensitive stomachs.

Why are eggs a great breakfast?

Unless you have allergies or a doctor-prescribed dietary restriction, hard-boiled eggs are one of the best ways to start your day:

Very filling: They contain protein and healthy fats that will keep you feeling full all morning.

Rich in vitamins: They are rich in choline (important for the brain), vitamins A, D, and B12, as well as antioxidants like lutein.

Stable blood sugar levels: Unlike sugary breakfast cereals, they don’t cause sudden insulin spikes. What should you watch out for? Doctors simply advise against eating eggs that are too old or overcooked (the grayish-green ring around the yolk), as this affects the taste and digestibility.

Conclusion: If eggs are good for you, eat them. Most of these “warnings” on the internet are pure fake news.

Did you come across this “warning” on social media, or do you simply want to know if there’s any truth to this early morning panic?

This type of headline is a classic example of so-called clickbait: It’s designed to arouse curiosity (or fear) and entice you to click on a page full of ads.
