Many people are familiar with this unpleasant problem. Instead of expensive ointments from the pharmacy, however, you can reach for a natural alternative that will surprise you with its simplicity and effectiveness. Indeed – the solution may be hidden right in your kitchen or garden: rosemary.

Why rosemary?
Rosemary is not just an aromatic spice for potatoes or meat – this herb has strong anti-inflammatory, blood circulation and healing effects that help with vascular problems, stiffness or tired lower limbs.

It has been used for centuries in folk medicine to improve blood circulation, relieve pain and muscle tension. And when you make homemade oil from it, you can use it every day without chemicals and unnecessary expenses.

Homemade rosemary oil – a simple recipe
You will need:

4 sprigs of fresh rosemary (or 2 tablespoons of dried)
100 ml of extra virgin olive oil (or coconut oil)
A small glass jar with a lid
Procedure:

Preparing rosemary: Pluck the leaves from the stems and place them in a jar. Discard the stems.
Pouring oil: Pour the leaves with oil so that they are completely submerged. Mix with a spoon.
Quick activation: Heat the open jar in the microwave for 30 seconds (or in a water bath if you do not want to use the microwave). This will release the active ingredients into the oil.
Cooling: Let the mixture cool completely and close the lid.
How to use?
Daily, ideally in the evening:

Apply a small amount of oil to the affected area (e.g. calves, thighs).
Gently massage in upward circular motions – this will promote blood flow.
Leave on for at least 30 minutes – you can leave it overnight.
Wipe off excess oil with a paper towel or let it absorb completely.
You will feel relief after just a few days. For noticeable improvement, we recommend a course of treatment for at least 15 days in a row.

Storage
Store the remaining oil in the refrigerator, tightly closed. It will stay fresh for several weeks.

Conclusion
Rosemary oil is a simple, inexpensive and yet very effective helper in caring for your feet. In addition, it smells beautiful and moisturizes the skin. Try this method and you will see that nature often offers the best – you just need to know how to do it.

Feeling of heavy legs, swelling or painful varicose veins?
