Nylon or microfiber creates static electricity as it moves across the floor. Dust, hair, and lint literally \u201cstick\u201d to it like a magnet, instead of just swirling or moving it deeper.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Other quick options for the lazy (but effective):<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Hair dryer trick: If you have a smooth floor under the sofa, set the hair dryer to the highest power and cold air. Blow from one side – the dust \u201cfluffs\u201d will fly out the other side directly towards you, where you can simply vacuum them.
Flat mop with a damp cloth: If you have a flat mop, take off the head and wrap a damp cloth around the rod with the holder itself. It’s thinner than any vacuum cleaner attachment.
