While in the Czech Republic we have Christmas, each country has its own sweet treasure that brings generations together.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Let\u2019s take a look at the most famous and sweet Christmas breads from around the world:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\ud83c\udf0d Sweet Christmas Treasures of the World<br>\ud83c\uddee\ud83c\uddf9 Italy: Panettone and Pandoro<br>Italy offers two main sweet rivals:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Panettone (Milan): It is a tall, dome-shaped, fluffy yeast bread filled with candied fruit (citrus) and raisins. Baking Panettone is a laborious, long process that guarantees its specific texture and durability. It is often served with sweet wine or mascarpone cream.<br>Pandoro (Verona): Literally means \u201cgolden bread\u201d. It is shaped like an octagonal star and is a rich, buttery cake. It does not contain fruit, but is extremely light and airy. After cooling, it is generously sprinkled with powdered sugar (symbolizing snow).<br>\ud83c\udde9\ud83c\uddea Germany: Christstollen (Stole)<br><br>Characteristics: A dense, heavy fruit bread with a history dating back to the $15$. century.<br>Ingredients: Full of dried fruit, nuts and often marzipan inside. Immediately after baking, it is brushed with melted butter and heavily coated in sugar or sprinkled with powdered sugar.<br>Symbolism: Its shape is supposed to symbolize Christ wrapped in swaddling clothes.<br>\ud83c\udde6\ud83c\uddf9 Austria: Kletzenbrot<br>Characteristics: A traditional, dark fruit bread (cross-stitch bread) that is very heavy in weight.<br>Ingredients: The base is a large amount of dried fruit \u2013 kletzen (dried apples and pears, called Kletzen), figs, dates, raisins and nuts, bound with a spiced dark dough.<br>\ud83c\uddec\ud83c\uddf7 Greece: Christopsomo<br><br>Characteristics: Literally \u201cChrist\u2019s bread\u201d. It is a rustic, round, sweet leavened bread baked on Christmas Eve.<br>Ingredients: It is rich in raisins, nuts, honey, cardamom and orange peel.<br>Decoration: The top of the bread is often decorated with a cross made of dough and is symbolically intended for Jesus.<br><br>\ud83c\uddeb\ud83c\uddf7 France: B\u00fbche de No\u00ebl<br>Characteristics: Although it is not a traditional bread, it is the main Christmas dessert, which has a symbolic meaning associated with the burning of the Yule log in the fireplace.<br>Ingredients: It is a sponge cake roll filled with buttercream (chocolate, coffee or chestnut) and decorated to look like a wooden log.<br>This sweet overview proves that wherever you are, Christmas smells like yeast dough, spices, raisins and family tradition!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Which of these breads would you like to bake or taste this year?<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>What a wonderful idea!
