When I discovered what they were, my heart nearly sank. Please, if you notice something like this on your clothes, wash them immediately at a high temperature and iron them with a damp cloth on top.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I washed my son’s winter clothes: a jacket, warm sweaters, a scarf, and pants. It was a sunny day, so I hung everything outside, thinking the fresh air would help dry them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Everything seemed like a normal routine. But then, as I started taking the clothes off the line, my heart started beating faster\u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n
On the sleeve of one of the sweaters, I saw some strange, round, yellowish specks: tiny like millet seeds, but hard and clustered together.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
At first, I thought it was just dust or pollen\u2026 But upon closer inspection, it seemed like something was moving inside each speck. I almost dropped the sweater in fright.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I ran to the internet looking for answers, and what I found scared me even more: they were moth eggs. Real, disgusting, live ones!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Experts say moths can lay eggs in clothing, especially if it’s been stored in a closet for a long time or is still damp. And if you dry your clothes outdoors, where the insects live in grass and bushes, the risk is even greater.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Apparently, the smell of natural wool or residual body oil attracted the moth, which chose the sweater as the perfect place to lay its eggs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The worst part is that the eggs are almost invisible. They can adhere to the fabric and sometimes even survive washing, especially when the clothes are air-dried.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
If not detected in time, the tiny larvae hatch, burrow into the fibers, and literally devour the fabric from within. The garment is ruined, and other items in the wardrobe can also be damaged.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In a panic, I ironed all my clothes on high heat and used a damp cloth (this is said to help kill the eggs).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Now I dry everything indoors or on a covered balcony. I also put lavender sachets and cedar sticks in the closet, which are natural moth repellents.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
